Chandramukhi heading for a historical fete

The super star starrer Chandramukhi is poised for a remarkable celebration in Tamil film industry as it will be completing 800th day of screening on the 24th of June. Previous record holder was Thyagaraja Bhagavathar’s Haridas which ran to 770 days. This significant event certainly calls for a celebration and director P Vasu is said to be busy planning for the mega event.

While talking to the media Vasu says, “As Chandramukhi is continuously running in Shanthi theatre and will be completing eight hundred days on the 24th of June, we have decided to celebrate this occasion in a grand manner. Hence we approached the CM who readily agreed to grace the event with his august presence on the 25th of June”. Super star Rajnikanth also has agreed to participate in this event. As this film enjoys the special status of running for 800 days in south India, producer’s council has also decided to earmark this occasion in a grand fashion, the details of which will be announced soon.
