Recently watched chandramukhi..it is a very different genre movie..some kind of
family-thriller subject..but it has all the ingredients for a Super
Star movie..the introduction scene is good for Rajni.. The first half
of the movie will go with full entertainment method with the comedy
and family related story,also with some scary background music at
the night..the second half will bring you more into the story of the
movie..all the secret behind each of incident happened in the
house..and the 30 min climax is the best part of the movie..
Story:
It is a Rajni movie with a different subject then his usual
movies..but the director has try his best to include some varieties
in the sub-plot with the comedies,family subject, histories and etc
to balance the suspense of the main theme..and he succeed in doing
that. I would rate the story very good.especially the comedy scenes
which will make you laugh non-stop (some will look similar to
vadivelu previous movies)..some said they cant see Super Star in a
movie like this where it is about another character (Chandramughie)..
even that may sound true because normally all Rajni movies evolve
around him as the main subject..but after you see this movie we can
say that Rajni is the most important character in the movie..even the
chandramughie `ghost' which is supposed to be the main character will
not `come out' until the right time..haha,you will understand after
seeing the movie :)
Cast :
This is the most important task in any movie..and this is the best
thing I like in this movie..be it super
Star,Prabhu,Vinith,Jyotika,Nayantara,Malavika,Vadivelu,Nasser, Sheela
or others..all did their part very well..Prabhu as a lovely husband
is very caring and good,surprisingly vinith character is very
important in the movie..without him we cant see the `chandramughi
dance'..vadivelu comedy and expression is at his best level in the
movie..and it clicks with the story well..even Malavika will come
from the start until the end..she look beautiful then before
also..hehe..and I gonna talk more only about the 3 most important
character in the movie..which are Rajini,Jyothika and Nayantara..
Rajni If this movie become big success,Rajni is the main reason for
that..he did his best in all his scenes..of course he look a bit
older then before..but non has been changed..be it his acting or his
style..all still young and fresh as before..and his character is very-
very good..especially how he identify all the problems and how he
talk to the `ghost' is among the best scenes..they also will show him
as a very intelligent person and so on..and his comedy scenes between
him and vadivelu is very good..overall Rajini acting is SUPER!!
Jyothika She do her part very well..first they will only show her
as the same way they show others..she will have some scenes with
everybody including rajini..just as one of the role..not more then
that..she will be the one who is very excited about the chandramukhi
history from the beginning itself..and what happened after she enter
chandramukhi room will be what the whole story is about..She look so
beautiful and only will be wearing saari from the beginning until the
end..even her role will be look like normal in the beginning..in some
unexpected ways,she will be doing a lot of `mind-blowing' acts..and
you will be only told about all this in the last one scene before
climaxand the 30 min climax scenes purely belongs to
Jyothika..OMG,you cant really believe how she will be act in that
particular scenes..its beyond the imagination..it is a very different
role and acting for Jo..but also it will be somehow look weird..but
don't start imagine it now..it is a very hard role for her(the climax
part)..and whether she succeed in bringing the role or not is very
subjective and depends to the audience opinion ..I would say she has
done her best for that..after seing the movie you will understand why
I say this..it is very HARD ROLE..congratulation to Jo and this movie
of course will be among her best movie..Jo will come in 3 songs all
together..
Nayantara Haha,after all the rumorous saying the role of Rajni lady
love is small and etc finally has been proved to be false..Naya has
an equal role to Jo excluding the climax part..also Naya will be
helping Jo in some part..but will be `played' by `chandramughie'..as
far for this movie,she did her role good especially the innocent look
and `tikku waayi' part..even in the first part..she will have more
important as rajni lady love interest.. even she is a new actress she
bring the role nicely. as some media said the role is supposed to be
offered 2 Aiswarya or Sneha..I don't think Ais will agree for the
role as it is not the main role..Sneha might can do the role as good
or better then Naya,she miss that..also Naya will hv 3 songs in the
movie..that's all to say about her..
Songs :
1. Devuda Devuda This song will be more nice when you watch it
in the movie with all the village back ground..and Rajni dancing in
front of them..even P.Vasu and the Producer will come and show their
face in the song as a dancer in this song (remember the `Repeat tu'
line) ..
2. Kokku Para-para This song is really nice..you can see all
the leading ladies including Jo,Naya and Malavika dancing in this
song.. many Kites will be flying(something like one scene in Baba)
and Rajni will bringing the his Kite and disturb Nayantara Kite..it
is actually the intro song for nayantara..she will start the song..it
is taken something like Shalala Song style in Gilli..
3. Athithom this will be another value song in the
movie..Rajni will tease Naya in this song..and rajni will look
dashing with his bright blue Jippa..this song will remind you the
Minsara Poove song in Padayappa..some of the family members will also
dancing in this song..
4. Konjam Nerem-Is a romantic song between Rajini and
Nayantara..the locations is very beautiful..Rajni and Nayantara will
be dancing around the location..both will look good and energetic..
5. Annanode Paathu-This is a song for Malavika and Vinith
Engagement..all can be seen in the song except Nayantara..first it it
will like a family song..but then they will let Rajni to dance with
so many sexy models..hehe..and something will happened at the end of
this song..
6. Raa Raa I have no words to discribe this song..from the
start of second part you can hear this song..but they will put little
bit little bit only..and only at the last climax scene you can see
this song full..it is really taken all the audience attention..the
music..the Jo dance(with all the `special'face expression)..the
situation..and I can say this is the best song in the movie..even I
didn't bother much about this song in the first..but when you watch
the movie..you just cant ignore this song and its music..wonderfull
job by vidyasaagar!
Overall..the music is very perfect for the movie..and is really
appreciate by the audience..also the background score..is amazing
with the scary sound effect!
Minus Point:
Unfortunately I hv to include some Minus Point to be honest about MY
OPINION about this movie..first from the beginning they keep saying
that Jo role is very powerful as Neelambari in Padayappa..but they
don't seem keep up their promise..Jo role is not much until the last
30 minute(but of course she will be in the movie from the beginning
until the end..even that Chandramukhi character will be talked much
from the beginning itself..but Jo will remain as Gangga..and as one
of the normal character only..that's why I keep saying the 30 min
climax..because until that climax you wont be seing any different
role from our Jo..which make me up set..even Ramya has a
longer `powerful role' in Padayappaalso the ending is not that make
sense..from the beginning of the movie they will spreading stories
saying the `ghost' is very powerfull etc,but at the end..two guy will
easily caught `chandramukhi' to the samiyaar(what happened to `Its'
power?)..I didn't saw the earlier version..so cant compare the Tamil
version with other version..but overall..it is a nice movie..and can
be watched with family..the story and comedy is helping this
movie..but of course the main attraction and important for
Chandramukhi is Rajini Acting and Jyothika Role..
That's all I can say about the movie..it is a MUST WATCH movie for
all..and you will definitely enjoy the movie!
