the "Chandramukhi" experience

Hey..hi folks! This is Rupa. Its been a really really long time since i last posted something . Hmm..past few weeks have been very hectic.I have been working on a paper which criticizes the Super DWDM process and gosh it consumed a lot of my time and energy this term.Ok ok..i think i will talk about this paper some other time.Today I am really relaxed and feeling like writing something light.Amidst all the hectic schedule at school and obviously the daily chores at home, we managed to do some shopping last weekend and watch a couple of Tamil movies.

The first one we saw a couple of weeks ago was "Talaivar" Rajinikanth's movie tilted "Chandramukhi".Other casts in the movie included Prabhu,Jothika and Nayanatara. I was totally excited about watching a Rajini movie after a long long time. The last time I saw his movie "Padayappa" was a couple of years ago.Anyways, I enjoyed the fight sequence at the start, where talaivar walks in air and found it funny that he was going against the Law Of Gravity..kollywood me sab kuchh chalta hai..thats what i precisely like about Rajini movies..You dont have to think and apply any logic..he is simply a visual treat!!!:-)Overall the movie was ok, can be seen once. Jo has given a good performance towards the end, but I think she has overacted most of the times. Vadivelu comedy is as usual boring and irritating. The songs are just average.I really liked the last song ..Raa Raa ..Its well choreographed and Vinit outperforms Jothika in Bharatnatyam.Overimportance has been given to the role of Soni Sood, who doesnt have even a single dialogue in the movie.God knows why the director has focused the camera on him almost after every scene in the first part.hmm..Jo looks like a cartoon in the last sequence..and use of colored contact lenses does no good to her funny image.Overall the movie was a pakka TP (time pass).Talaivar can act in better movies.

The next movie we saw last week was M Kumaran S/O Mahalakshmi.Really liked the movie. It potrays the relationship between a son and mother.Since I am very very close to my mom, I could relate to all those scenes in the movie which shows the beauty of child mother bond.Jeyam Ravi has a given a wonderful performance.Asin looks cute in her Malabar gal character.Nadiya and Prakash Raj have also done justice to their roles.Vivek comedy was superb as usual..man he is so witty!!Portions of comedy have been taken from the Hindi movie "Ishq", especially the one of walking on the pipe.Overall,Ravi steals the show .The movie a must see for all those who miss their parents.

Hmm..anyways, we both really enjoyed watching both movies. I really felt as if I was in India. Internet really works..isnt it?Hey..one more thinng..i tried out a whole new number of recipes like Masala Dosai,More kuzambu (kadi), Parappu thogayal, baigan ka bharta ,uttappam ,palak paneer in the last 4 weeks..Does it make your mouth water??i know it does..will write more about it in the next post..till then tata
