Chandramukhi celebrates 100 days!
Sivaji productions Rajnikanth starrer Chandramukhi celebrates its 100th day (July22) in 156 screens worldwide including 90 theatres in Tamilnadu.
The film is the biggest hit in the history of Tamil cinema and is rumoured to have collected a distributor’s share of over Rs 23 Crores from theatrical rights from Tamilnadu alone!
Says Abhirami Ramanathan, president of Tamilnadu theatre owners association: “It is a mega blockbuster, the biggest of them all”. The film has collected a distributor’s share of Rs 46, 43,281 the highest in the history of Abhirami complex.
Chandramukhi opened up the Tamil film business and took it to hitherto unexplored markets and it total worldwide share including DVD, satellite rights would easily add up to Rs 60 Crore!
Meanwhile the 100th day celebrations will take place at a resort near Kuttralam in TK area. The celebrations are being arranged by local distributor and all the artists except the superstar will participate!
