Jyothika, the cutest, prettiest, most talented and the most innocent faced actress. That’s how her fans and the Tamil Cinema Industry describe Jyothika. Yes, Jyothika is an immensely gifted actress who is bubbly and lovable. Jyothika was first introduced in a Hindi movie titled ‘Doli Saje Ke Rakhna’.Jyothika entered the Tamil Cinema Industry through S.J.Suryah’s film ‘Valee’ where she appeared in a small but a cute role.

Jyothika’s first movie as a heroine was “Poovellam Kettupaar” in which she acted along Surya.Then, Jyothika received the Best Newcomer for the film “Valee”. Jyothika was considered a big heroine as she was giving a lot of big time hit movies continuously for example ‘Kushi’, ‘Mugavari’, ‘Thenali’, ‘Sneghithiye’, ‘Uyirile Kalanthathu’, ‘Rhythm’ and many more.

Jyothika is one of the heroines who perform well. She was much appreciated for her performance, especially in ‘Kushi’ where she played as an expressive, childish and an active girl. Jyothika captured many hearts and she was loved by everyone. Her plus points were her cute and bubbly expressions.

The year 2003 turned out to be Jyothika’s golden year after having only two average movies in the year 2001 and 2002.

Her first movie with Vikram, ‘Dhool’ became a bog commercial hit. Then she had “Kakka Kakka” with Surya which was her 3^rd movie with him. “Kakka Kakka” was a big time hit too and received a terrific response from the audience. As her Deepavali release Jyothika had ‘Thirumalai’ with her ‘Kushi’ partner Vijay. ‘Thirumalai’ was officially the clear winner among the other Deepavali releases on that year.

Without any doubt, Jyothika was back to the Number One spot. She was considered as the “Super Star” heroine.

Even though we have new heroines such as Trisha, Sadha, Sonia and so on, Jyothika remains as the best that cannot be replaced.

Now (2004), Jyothika’s latest release was ‘Arul’ with Vikram and “Perazhagan” with Surya. ‘Arul’ was this year’s much awaited movie, but it was considered as a normal hit as it didn’t turn out as it was expected. “Perazhagan” created much anticipation too as both Jyothika and Surya did dual roles for the first time. “Perazhagan” is a Super Hit movie and received a lot of rave reviews. Jyothika and Surya had a bigger scope to show their talent and they succeeded in it.Her latest release Mayavi is doing average bussiness.

Meanwhile,her tamil new year release "Chandramukhi" with Super Star Rajnikanth is breaking records worldwide.This film has won her many accolades and is doing great bussiness in India,Malaysia,Singapore and others.It's official that Chandramukhi is the winner among the other releases!!!
